Joe's Pond Association Special Notices
News that all members need to know!

Thank you to all the members who responded to the poll regarding next year's fireworks. As you recall,
primarily because of the marked increase cost of the display over the past few years, the majority of the members chose to cancel the fireworks for 2023. Whether this remains permanent will obviously depend on the cost moving forward and our willingness to fund any additional increases. I want to emphasize that the Ice Out contest will continue unchanged. There is some misconception that monies raised from that contest are earmarked solely for the Independence Day celebration but the proceeds go into the association's activities or general fund which is utilized for all our expenses. I look forward to next year's meetings and encourage members to attend so we can have an open discussion regarding this issue. I hope everyone has a safe and healthy winter. The JPA would like to dedicate this new website to the memory of the late Fred Brown. Fred was the creator and webmaster of the original website. He was the classic, unsung hero with his efficient, effective, gracious, and low-key manner in giving his unwavering support to the Joe's Pond Association. Thank you, Fred.
