Picklefest Fundraiser 2022
On a beautiful Saturday (August 13) the JPA held the annual Pickleball Tournament; a fundraiser event for the upkeep of the tennis courts. Twenty five people played in the fun filled tournament organized by Tom Segale and assisted by Louis Cassani, Pam Hebert and Joanne Stewart. The randomly chosen teams played for 15 minutes on the 4 courts, or until a score of 11 was reached. Each player reported their score and after 4 games, the person with the most score won the prize. The prize was a jar of Paige Crosby's home-made pickles. The winners of the tournament were: Evan Burns - men's highest scorer Danielle Stevens - women's highest scorer Bob MacLeod - men's second highest scorer Robin Nicholson - women's second highest scorer As a final event, Evan Burns and Danielle Stevens played against Bob MacLeod and Robin Nicholson in an exhibition match.
